Położenie Nadleśnictwa
Nadleśnictwo Nowa Dęba położone jest w południowo-wschodniej części kraju.
Od 1 marca 2007 roku zgodnie z Zarządzeniem nr 6 Dyrektora Generalnego Lasów Państwowych z dnia 13 lutego 2007 roku Nadleśnictwo Buda Stalowska w Regionalnej Dyrekcji Lasów Państwowych w Lublinie zmieniła dotychczasową nazwę i siedzibę na: Nadleśnictwo Nowa Dęba z siedzibą w miejscowości 39-460 Nowa Dęba, ul. Wł. Sikorskiego 2.

Mezoregion Płaskowyżu Kolbuszowskiego (VI.11.b)
Dzielnica Niziny Sandomierskiej odznacza się dość wysoką lesistością 32,0%, lasy zgrupowane są głównie we wschodniej części dzielnicy, gdzie tworzą duży obiekt znany jako Puszcza Solska oraz w środkowej części, gdzie znajdują się fragmenty dawnej Puszczy Sandomierskiej. W lasach przeważają na ogół siedliska ubogie i średnio żyzne, z największym udziałem Bśw. Występuje dużo ubogich siedlisk wilgotnych oraz największy w całej krainie Małopolskiej udział Bb. Natomiast potencjalna produkcyjność siedlisk jest niższa niż średnia w krainie. Dominującym gatunkiem jest sosna, która tworzy drzewostany o wysokiej wartości technicznej.
Mezoregion Niziny Nadwiślańskiej (VI.10.a) – obejmuje północno-zachodnią część nadleśnictwa. W zasięgu mezoregionu znajduje się niewielka część gruntów nadleśnictwa. Gatunkiem panującym jest sosna, w części drzewostanów występuje niewielka domieszka brzozy oraz dębu, na wilgotnych siedliskach występuje olsza.
Mezoregion Puszczy Sandomierskiej (VI.10.b) – obejmuję największą część Nadleśnictwa Nowa Dęba. Lasy mezoregionu stanowiły kiedyś zwarty kompleks Puszczy Sandomierskiej, obecnie występują tu głównie drzewostany sosnowe z niewielkim udziałem innych gatunków (brzozy, olszy i dębu). Największy jest udział siedlisk Bśw, BMw, BMb, Bw, BMśw.
Dzielnica Wysoczyzn Sandomierskich położona jest na południu i południowym wschodzie Krainy Małopolskiej. Lesistość nie jest wysoka i wynosi ok. 25%. Lasy zajmują mniej urodzajne gleby; przeważają siedliska średniej żyzności, największy udział mają siedliska BMśw oraz BMw. W dzielnicy występują głównie drzewostany sosnowe, udział drzewostanów jodłowych, olszowych i brzozowych należy do najwyższych w krainie.
Mezoregion Płaskowyżu Kolbuszowskiego (VI.11.b) – obejmuje swoim zasięgiem przeważającą część leśnictwa Brzostowa Góra obrębu Babule. Płaskowyż pokryty jest piaskami lodowcowymi z głazami i glinami zwałowymi; występują również piaski rzeczne. Występują tu głównie drzewostany sosnowe, znaczny jest też udział drzewostanów jodłowych i bukowych. Zasobność ogólna drzewostanów jest zbliżona do średniej w dzielnicy, natomiast znacznie wyższa od średniej w krainie.
